Alex Curry is a born and raised beach babe who loves to work hard, smile, and enjoy life. She was raised via organic and holistic methods, and is very big on family, being the oldest of four sisters. She prides herself on being fun and energetic, while staying confident and poised for success.
Alex recently graduated from San Diego State University and received a BA in Journalism Media Studies with a minor in Marketing and made deans list for 3 straight years. During her 4-½ years of college she played NCCA soccer and won back-to-back national championships. She was also in a sorority and would commute up to LA to work on various projects. Alex loves staying active and busy!
She started working in production in 2005, and now has worked in almost every aspect of the field. While in school she started working for the Joe Lewis Production Company, which is in charge of every major award shows red carpet, press lounge, and green room. JLPC is especially noted for their work with the Oscars, MTV Video Music Awards, TV Land Awards, Spike TVs Guys Choice Awards, Comedy Central Roasts, and Victorias Secret Fashion Show to name a few.
While working as a production assistant she was discovered by a producer who cast her in a Live Direct TV show, The Championship Gaming Series, as the Mountain Dew Hostess. Alex worked for CGS for two years before deciding to conquer another area of production and interned at FOXs Fuel TV on The Daily Habit. While working there she was cast as a Host and Model on a many of their episodes, worked extensively behind the scenes, and even did some writing for interview segments. Alex was able to develop her talents and gain valuable experience on camera during her tenure at Fuel.
Since her graduation from San Diego State University in December 2009, she has worked on the Last Call With Carson Daly show at NBC while actively pursuing her dream of being a host. Alex currently hosts Body Gloves Beach Lifestyle, Surf Roots TV, Graffiti Beach and models for SWOOP Magazine, and is training with Marki Costello to enhance her hosting talents.
The future looks exceptionally bright for this young up-and-comer. Alex already has several projects in the works, which include hosting some major Hollywood events, as well as being the spokesperson for Resin Musics annual Surf Roots Tour. Her vast experience in the production world has given Alex all of the necessary skills and knowledge to make it in the competitive world of hosting.
